Americans' Freedoms And Liberties Were Established Via Being One Nation Under God - Not Under Government

The percentage of Americans who identify as Christians continues to decline at an alarming pace.

Fifty years ago, 90% of Americans identified as Christians. According to a recent Pew Research study, the percentage plummeted to 64% in 2020 and Pew predicts that Christians could become a minority in just a few decades.

This should be very concerning to all Americans who appreciate their freedoms and liberties.

Our Founding Fathers sacrificed their lives and fortunes 246 years ago to create a new nation whose foundation was built on the belief that God endowed every person with rights that no government can deny.

After the Revolutionary War, the Founding Fathers still recognized the importance of divine providence in the founding of the United States and continued to keep God at the center.

President George Washington set a precedent by putting his hand over the Bible and adding the phrase "so help me God" to the Oath of Office, because he recognized that God had guided America through the revolution. Washington declared that "It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible."

Fast forward to today and we now have a government consisting of many Americans who prefer to discard the Bible and to replace the righteous Word of God with their immoral laws. It is an ungodly government comparable to the one that our Founding Fathers fought against and defeated to establish a nation free of tyranny and dictatorship.

The United States is a nation where Americans have enjoyed freedom and liberty ever since our Patriots defeated the Redcoats in September of 1783.

As we continue to reject God and push Him out of our country, corrupt Americans within our government use that to their advantage to control and oppress its citizens. What America is in desperate need of is comprehensive government reform and a spiritual revival.

One nation under God established Americans’ freedoms and liberties and strengthened our country. One nation under government will strip them away and weaken our nation.

Americans need to remember that God has always been the bedrock of our country and the architect of our good fortune - otherwise, as Ronald Reagan forewarned Americans nearly 40 years ago - "If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under."
