Nobody was ever accidentally created. Every one of us was created on purpose to fulfill a specific God-given purpose during our brief time on Earth.

Fulfilling our God-given purpose in life is the very meaning of our existence. As Ephesians 2:10 reminds us, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Our specific purpose in life to fulfill may not be clear for many years, but God will inevitably reveal it to us.

Mark Twain once said, “The two most important days in life are the day you were born and the day you find out why.”

Sadly, just as a rudderless ship floats upon a sea, countless Americans wander through life aimlessly. They never pursue their “why” in their lives, only to regret not doing so during their final years when they are incapable of doing so.

Instead of feeling grateful when they wake up, many Americans dread hearing the sound of their alarms on the days they are scheduled to work because they loathe their jobs and are not striving to fulfill their purpose in life.

In contrast, those who work towards fulfilling their purpose each day wake up with gratitude and are excited and enthusiastic about the day ahead.

While many will opt to chase their own selfish desires throughout their lives, Proverbs 19:21 reminds us, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”

True fulfillment comes not from chasing personal desires but from living a life filled with purpose and meaning.

As Helen Keller wisely stated, “True happiness is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose.”

As aforementioned, many may remain unaware of their specific God-given purpose for years, but God will eventually reveal it. When He does, it becomes our responsibility to start working on fulfilling our purpose every day from that day forward.

God did not create us simply to just merely exist on Earth; He has a plan for each of us. He expects us to lead lives filled with purpose and to actively pursue the unique destiny he has designed for us. In the words of Robert Byrne, "The purpose of life is a life of purpose." Let us strive to uncover and realize that purpose, transforming our lives and the lives of those around us in the process.
